Spokane, Portland, & Seattle - Banks to Vernonia

The Vernonia Branch of the S.P & S, which extended from Banks to Vernonia, Oregon, existed primarily to serve the Oregon-American Lumber Company which operated from the mid 1920's until 1957. Another rail trail project, this abandoned railroad has a some large trestles that still exist today and are easiliy visited today.
