A recent picture from high above the Deschutes River in Central Oregon. Note the upper road cut on the hillside which is the old wagon road (the Shearar's Road). The lower cut is the modern access road, which is an abandoned Union Pacifc line. The modern shared track of the BNSF and Union Pacific is on the lower left.
